All types on the market and their characteristics

As we have already seen in the previous article, there are in fact two basic types of pool covers, both important for the use of the pool: the Summer (or isothermal) one and the Winter one.

Now let's see specifically the various types of coverage for each category.

SUMMER SHUTTER COVER

It is a floating cover (that is floating on the water) powered. Among all isothermal coverings it is the most elegant and also the most expensive. It can be realized by making a basement compartment in order to hide the motor and the roller. It can also be added to existing pools. The material of which it is composed varies from PVC to foams, which have a better performance. Also on this type of coverage it is also possible to walk and, with some technical devices, it can be transformed into a 100% safety cover.

BUBBLE ISOTHERMAL COVER

The air bubble covers are economical and particularly light covers, made of double polyethylene sheet with variable thickness and different weights. Their lightness should not be misleading as this does not in any way affect their thermal function.

FOAM ISOTHERMAL COVER

The multilayer foam roofing is extremely resistant and performing, representing the best possible solution in terms of strength, durability, reliability and savings. They are used with a 100% closed cell polyethylene mousse and are reinforced in the upper part by a thick flamed PE raffia in the upper part, while in the upper part in contact with water, by a transparent anti-scratch and non-stick film. This type of cover also has different thicknesses and weights.

STANDARD WINTER COVER

This type of cover has a completely opaque structure that prevents the formation of algae and microorganisms. Anchoring systems block the passage of debris and dust to preserve the surfaces of the tank. They are easy and quick to lay and do not require any special maintenance other than the periodic control of rainwater that is deposited on the surface. They are waterproof, very resistant to tearing, non-shrink and stabilized against UV and anti-chlorine. Available in various models and weights.

FILTERING WINTER COVER

This is the most robust and safe type of cover on the market. The computerized cut makes it adaptable to any type of tank, of any shape and size. The particular network structure with which it is composed allows the filtering of only rainwater, preventing the passage of dirt, dust or other debris. The high resistance allows it to remain tense even if it should pass children (up to 5 years) and small pets.

INFLATABLE WINTER COVER

Thanks to the particular convex shape, this solution prevents the formation of pools of water over the roof. It also ensures excellent safety standards against accidental falls of children and pets. It is anchored to the ground with hidden pegs and perimeter elastic.

DOME COVER

The great advantage of this coverage is that it allows you to use the pool all year round, even when it is cold, at rather low costs. It is completely dismountable and can be placed on the pool as a cover to protect the water from leaves and debris. It inflates in 15 minutes (pools of about 80 square meters); ground anchoring is obtained with perimetral water ballast. It is a greenhouse dome, where the sun's rays heat the indoor environment which is very comfortable. Furthermore the maintenance and cleaning costs are really minimal.

THE 4 SEASON COVERS

There is a type of roof that serves as both an isothermal cover and a winter cover, as well as having a safety function as it is completely walkable! This is the perfect cover for those who fear that their children can fall into the pool.

It is a motorized PVC cover. that is installed under the pool track and then completely scrape off the view once closed. The motor and the roller of this cover must be positioned inside an inspectable compartment that is usually built in an integrated way with the pool. The compartment can be covered with the same flooring in the solarium area, whether it is in tile or wood.

Just a simple click and the cover closes, effective both in Summer and in Winter!

The cost of this cover is higher (as for the shutter cover). It is still possible to "divide" the expenditure to be carried out in two parts. In fact, it is possible to make the arrangement for this type of roof at first, building the space at the moment of building the pool (installing the guides) and then at a later time installing the engine, the mechanical part and the roof itself.

4 SEASON BAR COVER

This is a particular type of 4-season cover, which is made of PVC coated fabric panels and semi-anodized aluminum profiles. The picketing system only occurs on the short sides. It is adaptable to swimming pools of any shape and is walkable therefore absolutely safe for children and pets. The winding system can be manual or motorized.
