A true story

Today I want to tell you the story of Fabio Rossi (for reasons of privacy I use a fictitious name) and the pool purchased at one of the many pool -builders.

Time ago Fabio came to us to get a quote. As happens to many people (the "straight" ones) who are duped by the price war, Fabio also opted for a company outside the area that made him a lower price. Two or three thousand miserable euros. For heaven's sake, I know very well that it's money and that for a family they make the difference, but wait a moment before judging.

As I said, the guy trusted the company that made him the lowest price, built his 'beautiful' swimming pool and ... ... guess what? It has NEVER gone into operation due to gross errors and innumerable imperfections.

OBSERVE WHAT HAPPEND

Horrific welds of the liner, with unwanted wrinkles and positioning of the cleaning nozzle in the wrong position.

Failure of walls shaving caused large imperfections in the entire coating.

Precarious, disordered filtration system, without the main valves.

Pipes that are not protected and placed in a disorderly and precarious way, subject to danger of breakage and loss of performance.

Electric panel mounted without safety cable press; plant made in a hasty and disordered way.

MOREOVER

  • No user and maintenance manuals have been issued.
  • No written guarantee has been issued.

Fabio SHOWED UP AGAIN, with his tail between his legs, asking us to fix the pool so that it was functional and safe. We did everything possible but honestly the damage was too BIG and he will never have a standard pool, made with all the trappings, without imperfections. Among other things it is useless to say that in the end he spent MUCH more.

MORAL OF THE STORY

Saving is important, but the price war does not pay. As already mentioned in the article 'How much does a pool cost?' high quality and true expertise DO have a cost. Pay more before, to get more after. Simple.

So, think carefully before spending by "saving"!

Regards and... that may the force be with you!
