For 1,000 liters of water, you need about 10 ml of liquid chlorine at 14–15% concentration to increase chlorine levels by 1 ppm. The exact amount depends on the product’s concentration and the desired chlorine level. It’s important to add chlorine gradually and always measure the level with a test kit before adjusting, to keep the water safe and clean.

Does chlorine kill all bacteria?

Chlorine eliminates most of the bacteria, viruses, and algae present in the pool. It works best when the chlorine level is correct and the water’s pH is maintained between 7.2 and 7.6. However, some very resistant microorganisms, such as Cryptosporidium, can survive and require more time or additional treatments.
