The choice of porcelain stoneware for lining a swimming pool is a clear statement: it’s about achieving an effect that goes beyond the ordinary, one that excites and surprises.
This is exactly what has been accomplished with a stunning pool in Morrovalle, in the province of Macerata.
Stoneware is one of the best materials for top-quality pool cladding, thanks to its hygiene, durability, and resistance to atmospheric agents and humidity.
Dimensions and Structure
The swimming pool, featuring an infinity edge on one short side, is built in reinforced concrete and measures 12 × 5 meters, with a depth of 1.30 meters.
Entry to the pool is via a staircase with a wide first step, creating a “beach effect,” followed by a few steps extending across the pool’s width.
White LED lights illuminate the pool, allowing it to be fully enjoyed even at night.
Lights and form effects
The variety of tiles allows for a range of chromatic effects that catch the eye and inspire wonder.
For this project, we chose a combination of bright blue and electric blue, complemented by tiles arranged in small, asymmetrical patterns. The edge of each step echoes the same intense shade of blue, emphasizing its shape and profile.
The pool’s marble edge features beautiful streaks in amber and ocher tones, creating a striking contrast with the blue and light blue hues of the water.
A distinctive feature of this project is the stone-clad wall, finished in the same chromatic shades as the pool edge, where water cascades like a small waterfall into the compensation basin below, which is also designed as a mini-pool. The effect is both scenic and captivating.
The solarium, bordered by a glass balustrade, is spacious and positioned directly in front of the house. A side staircase provides easy access to the lower part of the garden, where the compensation tank and the striking stone wall are located.
Rocks, stones, and succulents complete the design, adding the finishing touch to a minimalist, green garden.
