Arriving in Filottrano, a charming town in the province of Ancona, in the heart of the Marche region, one is immersed in a landscape that tells the story of local tradition and beauty. Here, amid 27 hectares of land cultivated with vineyards, olive trees, and cereals, there is an atmosphere of peace, far from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
In this little corner of paradise, where the green fields blend with the serenity of the surroundings, stands a rustic and welcoming farmhouse that houses Ristorante La Maddalena. A small vegetable garden supplies the restaurant with fresh produce, while geese, rabbits, and other poultry roam freely in the area set up for free-range farming.
Here, the love for traditional Marche cuisine and genuine flavors combines with the pleasure of ‘green’, family-style, home-cooked meals. It’s the perfect place to enjoy local dishes in a setting that invites you to forget the rush of modern life.
And it is in this peaceful corner, where every detail is designed to offer a unique experience, that we had the pleasure of creating a swimming pool that seamlessly blends with the surrounding environment, enhancing the stay of guests.
OUR OVERFLOW POOL
In this bucolic atmosphere, among the blue sky and the surrounding green hills, just next to a huge valley, we built our overflow pool.
We went along with the strict, clean lines of the lawn, which perimeter is bordered by soft flowers and bushes, in order to not crack the general visual.
The big pool of 16 X 6 meters, built in steel with a false wall in concrete, offers to the swimmers a huge area to move around into the water; on the other hand the L-shaped entry steps allows an easy, safe entrance.
For 3 sides of the perimeter we went for a hidden overflow, a technology that just revolutionized the concept of overflowing water, as it is adjustable in every moment without having to break the pavement, even in case of earthquakes, which is crucial in areas affected by this problem, as our region is.
The liner, which is next-gen, is characterized by nature-effect streaks, shadowing anthracite grey and light grey, giving the water a neutral nuance, which finds its maximum expression with the changing weather conditions.
The pool shows 8 white and blue lights, a great visual effect during the sunset and the night. A 3-nozzles blower shots bubbles in the water to entertain everyone inside the pool.
The solarium area is large and goes all around the pool, giving so the possibility to move around freely or to lay under the sun avoiding crowded spots. The direct connection with the bar allows the clients to sip drinks and eat snacks just next to the pool.
As the pool is public, it is possible to reserve it for parties, birthdays and ceremonies, exploiting the beauty and the charm of the pool, whose strength is for sure the infinity overflow on the short side, facing the wonderful surrounding valley.
As always, the landscape is the master and the pool fits itself among the green lawns and the property, located in a rich variety of trees and flowers, typical of the Mediterranean.
